We have invested in a TEXA KONFORT R744 air-conditioning station, so we can now look after the latest generation of car air-con systems that use R744 — carbon dioxide (CO₂) — as the refrigerant.
Why R744 needs special equipment
Most cars on the road still use older refrigerants, but some of the newest models, including premium and high-end cars, now use CO₂. An R744 system works at much higher pressures than an older one, so it can only be serviced safely with equipment built for it. Many garages cannot do this yet.
